How To Turn A Tissue Box Into A Flower Vase

how to make a tissue box into a vase

I’m just about done reusing my tissue boxes. I think it’s time to move on.

Recently I shared how to use them for decor by cutting the boxes into strips and lining them over a photo mat for this look.

Then we added some knobs to these square tissue boxes to make little drawers.

One last simple idea to enjoy the pretty designs a little longer is to turn them into flower vases. All you need is an empty tissue box, a small vase or short jar, glue, and some flowers.

Start by carefully opening up one side of your tissue box. Then slide your small vase or jar (with a little water) into the opening so that the top of the vase is directly under the hole in your tissue box.

Then glue the box flaps back together.

Place your flowers into the opening of your box and right into your glass vase.

And now you have a fun, decorative vase.

You can also do this with the larger tissue boxes.

My glass was a little too tall on this one, so be sure to use a vase that fits right under the top of the box.

Other than that, have fun with all the different designs out there!

  2. I LOVE LOVE this idea . I mite use a small piece of velcrow to close it up so I could freshen up the water. Thank you for the great pictures.

    • That is a great idea to use something that will open and close more easily! Depending on your vase and size of hole in tissue box, you may be able to drop it right down into the opening of the box (like I did with the bigger box), but the smaller ones, you will need to go in through the side. Thanks for the suggestion!

What do you think? I would really love to know!!
